Activate Google Pay

Easily add your Card to your Google Wallet™:

  1. Download the Google Wallet app
  2. Open the ICS Business app, go to 'Card' and select 'Google Pay'
  3. Click on 'Add Card to Google Wallet'
  4. Accept the terms and conditions and complete activation

How to pay with Google Pay

In a shop

Paying with Google Pay is quick and easy. This is how it works:

  1. Unlock your device with facial recognition, your fingerprint or access code
  2. Choose the credit card you want to pay with
  3. Hold your device up to the card machine's reader
  4. All done

In an app or online

Choose Google Pay when you're ready to check out and approve the payment with facial recognition, your fingerprint or access code. Use your smartphone or laptop.

  • What personal data does Google use to add my business creditcard to Google Wallet?

    Google heeft een aantal persoonsgegevens nodig om uw creditcard aan uw Google Wallet toe te voegen. Dit zijn:

    • Your address details
    • Your phone number

    You already shared this information with us when you became our customer. Google compares these details with your Google account to prevent misuse and to confirm that you are the Cardholder. This means that you need a Google account to activate Google Pay. We will only share your personal data with Google once you have accepted Google's terms and conditions.

    If you activate Google Pay, Google is responsible for the way they use your data and Google's privacy policy applies. You can always change your Google Pay privacy preferences via the Google Privacy Check.

  • Which data does Google receive when I pay with Google Pay?

    Aside from your personal data, Google receives the data needed to make payments when you use Google Pay. Google also displays transaction details, such as the price, date, time and shop or app name, in Google Wallet. Details that Google needs are:

    • The payment amount
    • The date and time of the payment
    • The shop or app name

    Google also receives technical details about your payment. They need this to process your payment and to keep their service running smoothly.

  • Can Google see everything that I pay for with my credit card?

    No, Google only processes payments that you make via Google Pay. Google doesn't have access to payments that you make with your physical credit card.

    You can see a list of the last several payments you've made via Google Pay in Google Wallet.

  • What does Google use my data for?

    Google uses your data for the following reasons:

    • To make your payment possible
    • To show your payment overview in Google Wallet
    • To prevent misuse and fraud
    • To analyse and improve Google Pay, and keep it running smoothly
    • To comply with laws and regulations

    Google is responsible for processing your data and for the terms and conditions that apply. This means that Google decides which data to process and why. You can manage your settings in Google. ICS only shares the data with Google that is needed to make Google Pay available. We don't have access to your Google account.

  • How does ICS keep my credit card details safe?

    When you make a payment via Google Pay, your credit card number is replaced by a unique secure code, called a token. This way, your real credit card number is not used when you pay and is not shared with the vendor. This helps keep your payment details safe.

  • Can I remove Google Pay from Google Wallet at any time?

    Yes, you can remove your credit card from Google Wallet at any time. Of course, you will still have your physical credit card, which you can pay with as usual.
